Gut by Frances Poet nominated for Best New Play award

We're delighted that GUT by Frances Poet has been nominated for Best New Play at the UK Theatre awards.

A taut, 'stop you in your tracks' psychological thriller exploring our instincts when it comes to who we can trust with our children, Gut premiered in April and was the centrepiece of our Spring/Summer 2018 season. Produced in association with the National Theatre of Scotland, Gut  was the world premiere production of Frances Poet's debut full-length original play.

The Guardian said that the piece 'holds the audience spellbound' (★★★★) and The Scotman desribed the play as 'gripping, perfectly-structured, beautifully staged, and designed to ask fierce and vital questions' (★★★★).

The UK Theatre Awards are the only nationwide Awards to honour and celebrate outstanding achievements in regional theatre throughout England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. The awards are nominated and voted on by industry experts who have been invited to serve as panellists by the Chief Executive of UK Theatre.
