Ticket Prices and Fees
All ticket prices are shown inclusive of VAT. Individual events may carry a per ticket or per transaction booking fee. There is an additional charge for despatching tickets by post.
The Traverse Theatre reserves the right to introduce discounts, price changes, artist and performance alterations without prior notification. Discounts and offers apply to full price tickets only. Only one discount per ticket.
Ticket Exchanges and Refunds
We can exchange tickets for an administration fee of £1 per ticket (up to a maximum of £5), with at least 24 hours’ notice, for another performance of the same production, subject to availability. To do this, you will need to return any physical tickets you have received for the original performance to the Traverse before the original or rebooked performance date (whichever is earlier). This can be arranged at our Box Office, by calling 0131 228 1404 or by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org. Tickets are otherwise sold on a non-refundable basis
For sold out performances, we operate a returns queue. An hour before the start of a performance, we will compile a first-come first-serve returns list of a maximum of 10 names. You are welcome to arrive earlier than an hour before a performance to ensure your name is higher up on the list. 25 minutes before the start of the performance, we will go through any returns we have and resell them to people in list order. If you put your ticket up for a return, we will refund your ticket price (minus a £1 exchange fee) if we manage to resell it to someone in the returns queue. This is not unfortunately not guaranteed.
Unfortunately we cannot resell tickets originally acquired at the Fringe Box Office, as we operate on different ticketing systems and would not have to capacity to resell your ticket.
For all currently available events, the Traverse Theatre will be using e-tickets encourage sustainability and minimise touch points to help keep customers and our staff safe. e-tickets will be included in bookers' confirmation emails. Please don't print your e-ticket – it can be displayed on your device’s screen for admission. If you do not have access to a smartphone or printer, please contact our Box Office who will be able to arrange printing for you.

- Latecomers may not be admitted, please arrive in plenty of time for the start of the performance. Readmittance may not be possible.
- No cameras, camera phones, video or audio recording equipment can be used in the auditorium, unless by prior arrangement.
- The Traverse Theatre reserves the right to refuse admission.
- Some performances may be filmed or photographed. By accepting these conditions ticket holders consent to the recording, filming or photographing of themselves as members of the audience.
Nothing mentioned in these terms and conditions shall affect the statutory position of the customer.
