What is the secret of keeping an audience enthralled? What techniques do playwrights use to build tension in their scripts? Playwright Oliver Emanuel (The Monstrous Heart) leads a workshop on text and subtext, dramatic tension and exploring how to keep audiences on the edge of their seats.
Oliver has written for most of the major theatre companies in Scotland and his work has been seen across the UK, Ireland, Europe, Canada, USA and China. He is currently under commission to the Traverse Theatre, the Unicorn Theatre and BBC Radio.
