We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Kitchen
Porter to join our existing kitchen team, to provide a varied menu
in our busy Bar Café as well as a range of sandwiches, soups and
baked goodies for sale in our ground floor coffee shop.
The Kitchen Porter should have experience of working in a busy
kitchen environment and must be able to work as part of team. Our
ideal candidate will have the ability and willingness to work
flexibly, including evenings and weekends, and must be able to work
calmly and efficiently whilst under pressure. Food Handler
certification would be an advantage but is not essential. You
should also have excellent communication skills.
Typical duties will include: maintaining high standards of
hygiene and cleanliness in all areas of the kitchen and food
storage areas; dish washing; and assisting in the maintenance of
Health and Safety standards. The job description for this post is

This is a permanent post with a probationary period of 6
months. Hours of work are flexible, with no guaranteed
minimum although we expect to be able to offer between 15 and 20
hours per week. We can offer an immediate start and the rate of pay
is £6.70 per hour. Annual leave entitlement is a pro rata
equivalent to 31 days per annum and a contributory pension scheme
is available. All applicants must be eligible to work in the UK and
be in possession of any necessary work permits and/or visa.
