We are currently seeking to appoint an Assistant Cook to
the Duty Chef in the efficient and effective day to day running of
procedures ensuring the highest possible standards of hygiene and
The successful applicant must have demonstrable relevant
experience of working in the food industry and hold a current Food
Handler Certificate. You must have proven experience of
managing stock, including stock rotation and wastage control along
with the ability to consistently deliver quality food. In
addition to your excellent communications skills you must have the
ability to work and contribute as a member of a team and to work on
your own initiative. A commitment to customer service is
essential as is a passion for food and menu development.
This post is offered on an initial 12 month contract with the
possibility of becoming permanent. There is a standard
probationary period of six months. We expect hours to average
around 20 - 30 per week, although no minimum number of hours
guaranteed. Hours of work will be arranged in advance and
will include evening and weekend working.
