Linbury Prize 2015 Winner Announced

Jen McGinley, Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, is the winner of a commission to design the production Autumn by Rob Drummond, at the Traverse Theatre in 2016, as part of The Linbury Prize 2015.

Jen was one of three finalists who had been given the opportunity to put forward their ideas for the production as part of this year's prize final.

Executive Producer of the Traverse Theatre, Linda Crooks said, "We are thrilled that Jen has been selected to design Autumn for the Traverse. It represents a great opportunity for her in her career but also allows us to continue in our ongoing commitment to nurturing the next generation of theatre professionals."

The winner of the 2015 Linbury Prize for Stage Design is Grace Smart, whose winning design for Saint Joan will be produced at the Lyric Theatre, Belfast next year. The Linbury Prize for Stage Design was founded by Anya Sainsbury CBE in 1987 as a springboard for recent graduates from theatre design courses around the UK, giving applicants the opportunity to work with professional theatre companies and to collaborate with writers, directors and technical teams at a crucial stage in their careers.
