An Essex coastal town is about to be hit by a crisis, a flood of unprecedented destructiveness. Does it have what it takes to endure, or has the community's reserves and sense of itself been too eroded after years of abandonment by those in power? Amongst the waves, two estranged friends, Nadia and Dani, are about to experience a crisis of their own. Can their friendship survive, or has it too been worn down by silences, unspoken tensions and differences, to a point of no return?
