Traverse Young Writers Scratch Night 2023

Join us for a night celebrating the freshest new writing talent at the Traverse Young Writers’ Scratch Night.

Over the last ten weeks a group of 16 young writers from across Scotland have been gathering digitally to work with and learn from acclaimed playwrights Chris Thorpe, Isobel McArthur, Mariem Omari and TYW alumni Ella Hickson and Uma Nada-Rajah. This scratch night is a culmination of the young writers' work having engaged in these sessions, with the pieces being brought to the stage through collaboration with the Traverse Artistic team and professional actors and directors.

The night will include an opportunity to give the writers feedback on their work which will help them on their journey to further develop their writing.

Come and celebrate the next generation of new writing talent; from eggs to angels, dolphins to Pride, the evening is sure to be an exciting and eclectic night of storytelling.
