About

An extraordinary landscape. A powerful connection. A unique moment in time.

Following a sell-out run in 2020, renowned theatremaker and illusionist Scott Silven returns and invites you to experience The Journey, an interactive, immersive, live production, unlike anything audiences have experienced before.

When Silven returned to his home in rural Scotland, coming off the heels of a sold-out, highly-acclaimed world tour, he found himself in a place from his childhood that was, all at once, unfamiliar. Thinking about concepts of home, place, and connection, Silven created a digital experience to explore this current moment of isolation and how it can positively affect our future.

In this live, virtual theatre experience, you will travel from your living room to Silven’s home in rural Scotland, through beautiful cinematic imagery and high-definition immersive sound, using your digital device’s camera, microphone, and headphones. Hear a long-forgotten story, interact directly with Silven in a cutting-edge digital space, and help shape the evening’s extraordinary illusions and mesmerizing events.

With a maximum of 30 guests per show, each intimate, interactive event is constructed by you, your own sense of home and connection, and your fellow travellers inhabiting the same digital space from across the world.

Through the power of storytelling and the work of a masterful illusionist, discover the path that connects you to Silven’s past, your own present, and a collective future. The Journey awaits.

FAQs

What is the level of participation in this show?
Most audience members will be called on by Scott to participate during the event. This might include talking about an object of meaning or answering one of his questions. You can opt-out of participating in the show, if you’d like.

How many tickets do I need to get for my friends and family?
Tickets are one person per ticket, per screen. For example, if two individuals in your household want to take part in the same evening, please purchase two tickets and enjoy on separate devices with headphones. To ensure that we can send each participant their viewing links please book one ticket at a time and use a different email address for each participant.

Will I see my friends and family in the show if we attend the same one?
In The Journey, there will be a few opportunities to see the entire virtual audience immersed in the digital space with Scott. If you have friends or family that would also like to see the show, consider coordinating with them to attend The Journey together. While you won’t be able to talk with one another, you’ll be connected through interactions with Scott and moments when the whole audience is visible in the virtual space.

What the pre-show content and how long will it take to watch?
By the end of March, you’ll receive an email from us with a link to discover special advance content from Scott Silven. We encourage you to watch this content prior to the show to be prepared for The Journey. It should only take about 20 minutes. If you are unable to watch the pre-event footage, don’t worry. You will still be able to enjoy the event.

What equipment will I need to watch the show?
To experience the show, each ticket holder must have their own iPad, desktop, or laptop computer with a webcam, microphone, and set of headphones. This show does not work on mobile devices/smartphones.

What do I need to participate in The Journey ?
