About

Jo Clifford and Lesley Orr’s The Covid Requiem is a beautiful and emotional work, written as a reflection and as a remembrance.

Alongside the 30-strong Choir of St Mary’s Cathedral, Edinburgh, singing Gabriel Fauré’s exquisite Requiem Mass, words and music form a dialogue in which we can reflect on the strangeness and tragedy of the last few years and remember all those who have died, and all those who mourn.

This event of remembrance is for those of any faith and none.

Please note, this event takes place at St Mary’s Episcopal Cathedral on Palmerston Place.

Socially distanced seating areas will be available.

The Traverse Theatre is funded by Creative Scotland and The City of Edinburgh Council, and has received additional support from the Scottish Government's Performing Arts Venues Relief Fund and Creative Scotland’s Recovery Fund for Cultural Organisations.
