About

“You think you know everything about me. But you dinnae.”

A joyful, heart-warming tale of hope, resilience, and triumph - inspired by the true lives of extraordinary women. This uplifting story brings together the lives of five women who, against all odds, unite on the football pitch to chase an impossible dream: to win the Homeless World Cup.

The B is just out of prison. Sammy's struggling to keep food on the table. Lorraine's husband has left her. Noor has to care for her Grandad. Jo is trying to hold them all together.

Each experiencing homelessness, their lives intertwine as they join a local women's football team to go to the Homeless World Cup. The stories of real women take centre stage in this vital and witty new play, which was created with the women of Street Soccer Scotland.

Directed by Bryony Shanahan (Bloody Elle, Enough), this joyful story of teamwork and overcoming the odds returns for extra time after delighting audiences in December 2023.

Same Team is part of the Traverse's £1 Ticket Project.
