About

In Autumn 2022 BOP Theatre will premiere a new comedy by Rob Drummond in Traverse 1. Don’t. Make. Tea.Benefits Debate asks serious questions about our disability benefits system and about how we value disabled people.

This might not sound like a lot of laughs, but with murder and lies on the table, the stakes are higher than usual!

As part of BOP’s return to live theatre this debate event will explore disabled people's experience of the benefits system to date and the wider systems and attitudes that society constructs to support disabled people. 2022 sees the introduction of Adult Disability Payment in Scotland so now is an ideal time to ask questions.

Hosted by Joyce McMillan. Panelists include Pam Duncan-Glancy MSP (LAB), Jeremy Balfour MSP (CON) and Bill Scott, Senior Policy Adviser from Inclusion Scotland.

Join us in conversation in online. Following booking you will have the opportunity to submit a question for the panelists.

This performance will be live captioned and BSL interpreted.
