About

A reading of a new play by Traverse Breakthrough Writer Fatima Jawara.

Siblings Sade and Tobey have always questioned their mixed raced identity, but they’ve always had each other to lean on. As they grow up and discover more about themselves and the world around them, their relationship begins to stray. With the height of the Black Lives Matter movement arising questions about their identity, how will they manage to hold up in a society that feels against them?

Black Pudding is part of the Traverse's £1 Ticket Project.

The Breakthrough Writers and this event have been supported by the Idlewild Trust and the Garrick Charitable Trust.

The Traverse Theatre is funded by Creative Scotland and the City of Edinburgh Council, with additional support from the Recovery Fund for Creative Organisations.
