About

A radical Scottish professor meets with a merciless dictator. What is the price of utopia? Would you be willing to kill, or die, for it?

It’s 1978 and Cambodia is ruled by the ruthless Khmer Rouge. An idealistic academic from Stirling is invited into this closed society, enamoured by the regime and its promises of a better world.

Accompanied by an American photojournalist, the academic is given a rare audience with the secretive leader of the Khmer Rouge, a man they call ‘Brother’.

Inspired by a true story, Our Brother is a high-stakes political drama by Jack MacGregor about the language of denial, centring on a fateful interview with one of the bloodiest dictators of the 20th-century.
