About

This year the Scottish Government passed the Community Wealth Building (Scotland) Act, which means that local authorities have a responsibility to think about how wealth is kept within communities rather than being extracted.

Starting with an imaginative exercise on what this Act could mean for the arts in Scotland, we’ll discuss how community and wealth intersect, what it means for art and audiences in Scotland, and what change for Scotland led by artists could look like.

Join us for a panel discussion with writers, theatre makers and other thinkers.

Common Wealth - Panel Discussion is part of the Traverse's £1 Ticket Project.

Playwrights' Studio, Scotland is supported by Creative Scotland's Multi-Year Funding Programme.
