An intimate evening with three singular Scottish voices of the DIY Underground.
M. John Henry is the songwriter behind Chemikal Underground/Rock Action’s De Rosa and with new album `Strange is The Way’ he’s inverted that outfit’s expansive indie rock into taut, guitar-led alt-folk, delivered with literate lyricism, wry humour and a confessional weight.
The Edinburgh-based ensemble Meursault (paired-back for this performance) bring their stark, hymn-like grandeur to weave powerful and stunning vocals, strings, and muted electronics that map grief and resilience with devastating precision.
Headlining is Adam Stafford, presenting material from his new song-based studio album `Prilitex’. Here his mastery of the songcraft is fully on display: carefully detailed melodies, deft structure, and lyrics that balance tenderness with introspection, building intimate vignettes into music that feel both personal and expansive.
Adam Stafford/ Meursault/ M. John Henry are part of the Traverse's £1 Ticket Project.
