If you’ve visited traverse.co.uk in the last week, you'll have noticed that things are looking very different.

We’ve launched our new website. And we’re excited to introduce our new digital home and run you through some of the exciting new features that we’ve added.

So, what’s new?

As well as a fresh new look; the updated site includes a mobile-friendly platform and a better experience for mobile, tablet and desktop users. We’ve also improved the structure, so you’ll find what you’re looking for more easily.

Here are a few of the key changes;

Browse your way

Making our website better than before wasn’t just about making it look nicer, but also making it easier to find what you need.

You can now search for shows by;

• Date
• Seasonal favourites and festivals (A Play, A Pie and A Pint, Soundhouse, Edinburgh International Children's Festival and more)
• Looking at our list of access performances
• And by using our new ‘I’m looking for…’ option so you can easily find a show or event that takes your fancy whether you’re looking for a brilliant drama, something funny, a family-friendly show or work made in Scotland.

Taking you behind the scenes

With each new season we present, we invite you to get under the skin of new writing and new work in all of its forms, explore the journey from page to stage with us and experience exciting stories you’ve never seen before.

With our new show pages, we’re able to share more of that process with you. With trailers, interviews, photos, interviews, reviews and more, our new site is bursting with brilliant content to help you explore the shows we make and present.

Access

We want to make your visit and easy and worry-free as possible. Our site now has a dedicated access page and a list of all our access performances.

The new site also works with screen readers and alt-text has been added to images.

Want to get involved?

Looking to develop your playwriting skills? Maybe you’re an actor or creative who’d like to talk to us about your work. Or maybe you’re a teacher looking to organise a backstage tour.

We’ve broken down our Get Involved section to make it much easier for you to find ways to connect with us.

Feedback

Alongside these big and brilliant things, there’s a whole host of smaller but impactful changes that we hope will make our website more welcoming and easier to use.
