Through Gift Aid you can boost your donation to the Traverse Theatre by 25p for every £1 you donate. Gift Aid is claimed by the charity from the tax you pay for the current tax year. Your address is needed to identify you as a current UK taxpayer.

You can complete one of two declarations; single - which covers just one donation and a specified amount - or multiple - which covers the present donation, those made in the last four years and all future donations.

In completing either of the above declarations you are declaring that you are a UK taxpayer and that you understand if you pay less Income Tax and/or Capital Gains Tax in the current tax year than the amount of Gift Aid claimed on all your donations then it is your responsibility to pay the difference.

Please notify the Traverse Theatre if you:

  • want to cancel an existing declaration
  • change your name or home address
  • no longer pay sufficient tax on your income and/or capital gains

If you pay Income Tax at the higher or additional rate and want to receive the additional relief due to you, you must include all your Gift Aid donations on your Self-Assessment tax return or ask HM Revenue and Customs to adjust your tax code.

We may contact you following an online donation in order to ascertain your Gift Aid status. Any contact will be made in accordance with your data protection preferences.
