As the world starts to open up, and we’re able to welcome you back into our venue again, we understand if you might feel a bit nervous.

We want to assure you that audience, staff and company safety have always been our top priorities, and never more so than now.

Spring 2022 season

For performances during our Spring 2022 season, both Traverse 1 and Traverse 2 (with the exception of A Play, A Pie and A Pint performances) have returned to General Admission seating, with the capacity of the auditorium capped to allow space between groups.

Productions in the A Play, A Pie and A Pint series will remain with allocated seating, with a one-seat space between groups.

The Traverse will continue to observe Covid-19 safety protocols in line with Scottish Government Guidance, including the compulsory wearing of face masks whilst in the Traverse building, including during performances, unless medically exempt, and hand sanitisation being required upon entry into the venue.

Additional information

It's important to us that you feel safe and secure before and during your visit to the Traverse, so on this page, we're sharing documents that detail some of the key actions we're taking to help keep everyone who comes to our venue - audiences, cast and companies, and staff - Covid-safe.

They're not exhaustive in terms of all our measures, but we hope that you'll find them useful and reassuring:
