Traverse Festival

What's on From Mon 24 Aug

This year we've burst out of August and extended our Festival programme throughout the rest of the year - and beyond, taking our programme directly to you - wherever you are - for the first time ever!

About the Traverse Festival

Here you can find information on all the Festival productions, events and activities currently available in Traverse 3 - our new online venue, which will be a permanent space alongside our physical stages of Traverse 1 and 2.

There's a huge range of stories available, created for, or reimagined in, a variety of formats, including films, podcasts, audio plays, performed readings and open access scripts, as well as conversations and provocations for audiences to join.

We've commissioned a breadth of artists to create new pieces of work especially for this year's unique Traverse Festival programme, and are delighted to be working with many partner companies and creatives to present the most cutting edge and stirring shows around, including many world premieres.

The Traverse Theatre is funded by Creative Scotland and The City of Edinburgh Council, with additional support from The Scottish Government Performing Arts Venues Relief Fund.
