About

In this exclusive workshop, Natalie McGrath will help participants explore ways of telling queer tales.

This practical workshop will support participants in generating poetic text through a range of writing exercises, strategies and tactics. You'll also think about the landscape, beauty and defiance in telling new and urgent LGBTQIA+ stories onstage.

Led by playwright Natalie McGrath (We’ll Meet In Moscow), who was a Writer on Attachment to the Traverse in 2019 through our Open Submissions initiative, this interactive workshop can facilitate a maximum of 20 participants who will be able to be heard and seen throughout.

This event is part of our First Stages Festival 2021 - a celebration of storytelling and playwriting.

The Traverse Theatre is funded by Creative Scotland and The City of Edinburgh Council, with additional support from The Scottish Government Performing Arts Venues Relief Fund.
