What makes an impactful climate play? What environmental stories are missing on stage? And how can we create a groundswell of great climate theatre?
Join Guy Jones (Shakespeare’s Globe) and Amber Massie-Blomfield (Fern Culture) - co-founders (with Climate Spring) of the Climate Playwriting Prize - to think creatively and critically about how theatre can respond to the defining challenge of our time. With special guest artists, they’ll discuss how climate stories can become compelling drama: from finding the human stakes inside global issues to building characters, conflict, and theatrical worlds.
Relevant to anyone interested in storytelling, the climate crisis, and how the two might connect, this is an opportunity to think together about how theatre can respond to the defining issue of our time.
Climate Storytelling for Theatre is part of the Traverse's £1 Ticket Project.
