Class Act Edinburgh Showcase 2026

The Traverse is delighted to be presenting the Class Act Edinburgh Showcase 2026!

This year’s scripts have been created by young people from Edinburgh high schools - Craigroyston High School, Royal High School, Tynecastle High School & Trinity Academy.

Each script will be brought to life by a team of professional theatre-makers including directors, actors and musicians.

By placing professional playwrights and theatre-makers into each school to transform students into writers and storytellers, Class Act provides creative support and a safe space for participants, encouraging them to express themselves freely and imagine without inhibition. The results address what they feel passionate about, and each script crackles with unparalleled energy.
