About

An ecclesiastical comedy drama about a Catholic primary school teacher who’s been having disconcerting religious experiences in her classroom.

Miss Lockwood isn’t well. That’s what Alice’s pupils have been told, although the truth is she’s been suspended following strange goings-on in her classroom: appearances by mysterious figures only she can see, delivering cryptic messages only she can hear. And, of course, there was the unfortunate incident with the fire extinguisher…

Is Alice fit to return to work? Are the schoolchildren safe under her care? That’s up to Dr Freer to decide, aided – or perhaps hindered – by Alice’s parish priest, Fr Mackin.

Miss Lockwood Isn’t Well is a comic drama that deals with the doctrines of religion, the boundaries of belief, and the mystery of what lies beneath the fridge.

Co-presented with Traverse Theatre.
