Soundhouse Residency at the Traverse Theatre
Back by popular demand, Adam Holmes and the Embers' kick off what is hoped will be some regular Sunday night gigs at the Traverse. Even better the band will be showcasing their shiny new album Brighter Still, the follow up to their smash hit debut Heirs and Graces.
Inspired by seeing folk in Edinburgh, and by his parent's influential music taste, Adam Holmes debut album, Heirs and Graces, produced by John Wood, was released to much acclaim in early 2014 and immediately achieved a Scottish Album of the Year nomination alongside a string of other nominations.
Live, Adam Holmes and The Embers combine the rhythm and blues, country and folk music textures of classic artists such as The Band, Neil Young and Ryan Adams and The Cardinals - last year they played a sell-out show at Glasgow’s Tron Theatre as part of Celtic Connections and at the long-running Tønder Festival in Denmark where Adam closed the festival singing with John Prine.
This is going to be a fantastic night and we recommend booking early to avoid disappointment.
