Open Submissions Workshop #4: Douglas Maxwell - Finding Inspiration & Rising to the Top of the Pile

News 3 Jun 2020

Worried that your writing isn't good enough?

Douglas Maxwell (The Whip Hand, Decky Does A Bronco) says he's made every mistake there is. In this week's workshop, he takes you through the changes he's made to make his plays better. It's kinda like a therapy session for playwrights.

Open Submissions Workshops is a free 16-week course led by playwrights and theatremakers that will support you - and fellow aspiring writers - to unleash your creativity and take you from idea to draft.

There's no signup required but to get the episodes as soon as they're released, subscribe to our Youtube channel or Spotify podcast. For those of you who may want to work on your ideas for a little longer, all sessions once live will be available to view and listen to at any point until 1 September 2021.

We're only able to offer this course for free thanks to support from you, our audience. If you'd like to help us support more aspiring writers, you can make a donation to the Traverse below.

We hope you enjoy these workshops and look forward to reading your pieces!
