Milk by Ross Dunsmore to receive American premiere

Milk by Ross Dunsmore, discovered by the Traverse Open Submission scheme, is to recieve its American premiere next week as the show is staged by Thrown Stone Theatre Company at the Ridgefield Conservatory of Dance.

Continuing its remarkable journey from its world premiere at TravFest16,  Milk has come to represent the ideal, and very real, opportunity the Traverse can provide for an unknown and unsolicited writer and we could not be more thrilled by its on-going success.

Talking about the play,  Orla O'Loughin said:

'Milk is a very special play. It is contemporary and urgent; a gripping story of a community told in high definition. We spent over a year developing it, having read an early version when it came to us via our Traverse Open Submission system.

It is a remarkable piece of work for many reasons, not least because it is Ross' first full length play. It has been an honour to realise the ambition and humanity of Ross' vision as part of a process that exemplifies the Traverse's unique role as an incubator, risk taker and champion of brand new writing talent.

We wish Thrown Stone all of the best with their production.'
