Class Act Facilitator Edinburgh & Glasgow
JobsThe Traverse are partnering with the Citizens Theatre and bringing Class Act to Edinburgh and Glasgow this year. We’re looking for inspiring, dynamic and encouraging facilitators. Please get in touch to join our pool of Freelance Facilitators.
As Class Act responds to the needs and wants of young people and local communities, we want to get to know some amazing freelancers to find perfect matches for the Class Act groups. We are particularly interested in hearing from those based in or with a strong connection to Edinburgh & Glasgow. The Traverse Theatre welcomes submissions of interest from those currently underrepresented in Scottish theatre.
Please see the document below for full information.
If you are interested in becoming a Class Act Facilitator for Class Act Edinburgh or Glasgow, please contact Class Act Coordinator Becca King, at becca.king@traverse.co.uk with your CV (2 A4 sides max) and tell us (in 300 words max) why you’d like to be involved in Class Act, highlighting relevant experience of working with young people in similar environments and specifying which location you would like to work in.
Submissions of interest must be sent by 5pm 2nd September 2025.
The Class Act team will be in contact by 5th September to let all applicants know if they have been selected to attend the facilitator training session date in September tbc. Available spaces are limited for the training day, so all applicants must be able to attend. Applicants will be paid for their attendance on this day, regardless of their progression to attachment to a Class Act group.
Please note, attachment to groups are dependent on matching the availability of freelancers and schools.
The Class Act Facilitator engagement will take place primarily September-December 2025, in Edinburgh or Glasgow.
Each facilitator must also be PVG checked, complete short online safeguarding training, and participate in the final project evaluation, supported by the Traverse Theatre.
