The Traverse Theatre is currently looking for a reliable and experienced Chef to join our existing team producing quality food for our Bar Café and Coffee Shop as well as catering for functions and corporate events.

Typical duties include: preparation and presentation of menus for our Bar Café and Coffee Shop in addition to corporate events and functions; quality control; implementation of cleaning regimes ensuring highest possible standards of hygiene in all kitchen and storage areas; supervision of junior staff in absence of Senior Chef.

The successful candidate must have demonstrable experience of working in the food industry including stock control and with the proven ability to consistently deliver quality food. You will hold a current Food Handler Certificate and have a thorough knowledge of current health & hygiene regulations. You will possess excellent communication skills and be able to contribute as a team member along with working on your own initiative. If you have all of these qualities along with a flexible approach to working hours and a passion for food then we would love to hear from you.

This is a permanent position with variable hours of work including daytimes, evenings and weekends. Although there are no guaranteed minimum hours we expect to be able to offer around 40 hours per week during busy periods.
