We regularly hold open auditions in order to get to know actors we may not otherwise have the opportunity to meet.
**Unfortunately, due to Covid-19 our April Open Auditions have been postponed. Please keep an eye on this page for any updates**
We're keen to meet Scottish based actors we've never worked with before and from as wide a range of backgrounds as possible.
Each open audition day will have limited slots to ensure we have enough time to get to know you, hear you read and learn about your passions. Each slot will last approximately 15-20 minutes and will involve a chat about your work and your ambitions, alongside two audition monologues - one of your choice and one from a list compiled from the Traverse.
Audition slots are allocated at random in order to ensure a fair selection process.
We ask you to prepare a monologue of up to 2 minutes from any play written over the last 15 years. In advance, the Traverse will also supply you with a short selection of monologues, from which you can choose one to perform on the audition day. You absolutely don't need to learn either off by heart (it's not a memory test!) so long you're familiar enough with both pieces for it to showcase the best of your work.
Auditions take place at the Traverse and are fully accessible.
