Words Words Words
Words, Words, Words is a
performance, a reading, a workshop.
It's a chance to hear new and experienced playwrights trying out
ideas, testing the wording of scenes, exploring characters and
focusing on short, sharp explosions of drama that will keep you on
the edge of your bar stool.
We welcome writers, theatre-goers, critics, actors, and anyone who
wants to experience theatre in action to come along and let the
writers know what you think of their work.
Writers of all ages and levels of experience are invited to send
short scripts (5 to 10 minutes in length) to jennifer.williams@traverse.co.uk
for consideration up to two weeks before the performance date.
Ten scripts will be chosen to be read aloud by actors in the
Traverse's studio space, Traverse Two, after a short workshop on
the day.
Successful applicants will be required to attend Words,
Words, Words on the night. Given that we are unable to arrange
travel for writers, we encourage submissions to this informal event
from those who live within easy travelling distance of the
Traverse.
