The Traverse is Scotland's New Writing Theatre. It has been lucky enough to cast a variety of talented performers in our writers work since its launch in 1963 including Simon Callow, Tilda Swinton, Robbie Coltrane and Billy Connolly.

Billy Boyd joined these well known names with his appearance as Pippin in Peter Jackson's The Lord Of The Rings cinema trilogy.
