Following their sell-out production of The Beckett
Trilogy last January, Gare St Lazare return with a unique
performance of Samuel Beckett's short story The End
performed by Irish actor Conor Lovett, considered by many to be the
definitive Beckett performer.
The End is a gritty account of the last days of an old
man's life as he struggles to live despite his willingness to die.
Evicted from an institution of care he stoically fends for himself
in a state somewhere between his dreams and reality. Beckett
masterfully balances the tragedy with perfectly pitched
comedy.
Gare St Lazare is Ireland's most travelled theatre company and have
toured to over 77 cities worldwide.
