The Traverse Theatre does not charge a booking or
transaction fee. The amount stated in the brochure and on this
website is the final price you will pay for all
tickets. Tickets can be collected free of charge from the Box
Office or postal delivery is an available option and incurs a £1
charge per transaction.
All tickets are £8 plus one complimentary teacher ticket
for every 10 paying students. School bookings are not available for
performances on Fridays and Saturdays. See reservations section for

In the course of
booking, you will usually be offered the option to have your
tickets mailed to you. Postage is only available to addresses
within the United Kingdom and there is an additional cost for
this. If you do not pay the additional cost for posting, or
you are booking for events which happen within 7 days, your tickets
will automatically be held for collection.
Please note if your booking contains certain concession tickets,
postage will not appear as a delivery option. The entire booking
must be collected from the Traverse Theatre Box Office, 10
Cambridge Street, as appropriate proof of entitlement must be
In some cases, tickets can also be collected from the venue from 1
hour before the performance.
Tickets can be
collected only on production of the credit or debit card used to
purchase them and can be collected only by the cardholder.
Additional proof of ID may be required. Please have your customer
number and/or order number available when you collect your tickets.
These details are shown on the Booking Confirmation Email which
will be sent to you when your order is submitted.
Refunds and Exchanges
Tickets can only be refunded in the event of a show cancellation
or change to performance date and time. Tickets can be exchanged
for an alternative performance within the same run, up to 24 hours
before the original performance booked. Exchanges are subject to a
£1 fee per ticket up to a maximum of £5.
Unpaid reservations may be held for five days, or until five days
prior to the performance. Reservations of 10 tickets or more can be
held without payment for four weeks or until five days before the
show. Reservations will be automatically released back to sale
thereafter. Tickets will not be issued without payment.
Latecomers may not be admitted. Please ensure that you allow
sufficient time for your journey to the Traverse.
Sold out performances
A waiting list for returned tickets will be started one hour prior
to the start time. This service is only available to personal
callers at the Traverse and is limited to two tickets per
