Since its lowly beginnings in an abandoned brothel off the Royal
Mile, the Traverse has grown, in almost fifty years, into an
internationally-recognised leader in the creation and presentation
of new work for the theatre. From the ground-breaking work of
Beckett and Barker to the latest plays of leading Scottish writers
David Greig, Rona Munro and Gregory Burke, the Traverse has always
sought out, nurtured and presented work that inspires, challenges
and entertains.
As we celebrate our 50th birthday, help us to continue to shape
the future cultural landscape of Scotland with new work that
resonates across the world.
How can you do this?
