Scottish Opera delivers a refreshingly different take on a traditional art form.

Building on two years of critically acclaimed collaborations, five more teams of writers and composers drawn from Scotland’s vibrant creative industries produce five new short works with a range of styles and themes. Many, though leaders in their chosen field, have never written opera before.

This is opera at its most intimate and engaging. Performed by eight singers and a small orchestra, all five pieces are presented in one sitting. It’s guaranteed to surprise and sure to get you talking - which will be your favourites this year?
