Nicola McCartney is Playwright in Residence at the University of Ulster and was Artistic Director of lookOUT from 1992 – 2002. Recently, she won the TMA award for Lifeboat for children’s theatre company, Catherine Wheels.

She is currently under commission to the National Theatre, London, Abbey Theatre, Dublin, and the Traverse. The workshop is aimed at playwrights with some experience and will focus on ‘Creating a virtual world: landscape rhythm and identity’.
