Stravinsky’s collaboration with the poet/novellist Charles Ferdinand Ramuz produced a masterpiece; a memorable distillation of the Faust legend written in the wake of World War 1. A soldier returning home meets the Devil and swaps his violin (his soul) for a book that allegedly holds the key to wealth and success.

In this production, the award winning violinist Anthony Marwood will perform the role of the Soldier for the first time in the UK, Eric Tessier-Lavigne - long time principle performer with the Lindsay Kemp Company - will play the Devil and dancer Mikah Smillie is the Princess.

It was hard to tear my eyes away from Anthony Marwood who gave a sensational bravura display
