“Some people represent authority without ever possessing any of their own” (Banksy)

Edinburgh. 2032. Traffic clogs the skies and cash is almost extinct. The notorious DoorCorps protect people from the world outside by confining them in their apartments. Residents pay a small amount to enter and a small amount to leave. In one such room lives our hero, Scruggs. Marked by the authorities since birth as a candidate for crime, all he needs to do is not get into trouble. In his world, that’s not as easy as it seems.

A major international collaboration between Vanishing Point (Mancub; Lost Ones) and an extraordinary Kosovan band, Subway is a dystopian musical adventure co-produced with Tron Theatre Glasgow, commissioned by The Lyric Hammersmith and supported by NTS Workshop. Subway is a journey through a landscape a few years from now, a show about small acts of rebellion and where they might lead.

PLEASE NOTE Subway takes place at Traverse 3, University of Edinburgh Drill Hall, 41 Forrest Road, Edinburgh, EH1 2QL. Tickets are available from the Traverse Box Office at either Cambridge Street or the Drill Hall (subject to availability). Clcik here for a map of the Drill Hall's location (via Multimap website)

Terrific tenderness and wit... a combination of flawless technical presentation and sheer emotional intensity that is genuinely memorable.
(The Scotsman on Mancub)

Vanishing Point’s brilliant, visual show... infests the subconscious... a wonderfully ambitious and assured hour of expressionistic theatre.
(The Guardian on Lost Ones)
