Catch tomorrow’s talent today as the Traverse Theatre’s flagship education project Class Act goes from strength to strength.
This year, senior Drama and English pupils from Leith Academy and Liberton High School in Edinburgh: Inveralmond Community High School in Livingston and West Calder High School have the chance to write their own short plays with the help of professional Scottish playwrights: Christopher Deans, Douglas Maxwell, Linda McLean and Nicola McCartney.
A creative team of professional directors and actors visit the school to develop and rehearse the pupils’ plays – with their input – in preparation for a final performance in Traverse 1 over two fast-paced evenings. These performances are open to pupils’ friends, family and school along with members of the public.
Are you a Drama or English teacher? If you would like to hear more about what the Traverse has to offer you and your pupils – please call the Traverse Theatre Box Office on 0131 228 1404 or email
