Are you ticklish? Do you know that fragile, teetering sensation existing somewhere between pleasure and irritation? Jasmin Vardinmon’s new work focuses on the borderline transitions and proximity of pleasurable sensations or emotions which in excess becomes painful.
Vardimon has formed a strong and identifiable choreographic voice. Her work is a tangible theatrical caging of violence, humour, and sexual passion through her acute human observance of physical behaviour and characters' interactions. This young Israeli’s recent achievements include receiving the prestigious Jerwood Choreography Award (2000).
