Are you a teacher, tutor, education professional who wants to
get your pupils or students involved at the Traverse Theatre? Or a
student who wants to engage with us?
Traverse Learning offer a number of opportunities for education
groups and individuals.
Backstage Tours
Get exclusive access to unseen parts of the Traverse and
discover what goes on behind the scenes of Scotland's New Writing
theatre. The tour will include the history of the Traverse as well
as visits to our Green Room, Wardrobe, Dressing Rooms, Workshop and
two Theatres. Backstage tours can be tailored to the needs of the
group and can accommodate up to 20 people. We charge £2 per
person.

Placements for Schools
Traverse Learning offers one week-long placement to one school
pupil per term. School placements, based within Traverse Learning,
will give young people the opportunity to work in a professional
theatre environment. As theatre is a demanding environment we will
specify one week per term when we will be able to offer a school
placement.
If you would like to apply for this placement, please complete
the placement application form above and return it to Catherine
Makin. Due to a high demand for placements, applicants may be
required to attend an interview.
Placements for Colleges and Universities
Throughout the year we offer a number of placements to college
and university students, across a range of departments
including:
- Marketing
- Administration
- Artistic
These placements are depended on the needs of the organisation
and as such we cannot guarantee the availability of placements.
