strong strand of our work all year round.
We host an amazing array of arts events, from dance, puppetry
and animation to the largest performing arts festival for children
and young people in the UK.
Edinburgh Festival Fringe
The Fringe is the largest arts festival in the world, taking place
every August for three weeks. Our programme of work during August
has built a reputation for presenting and producing the best new
writing - in all its forms - on the Fringe. The Traverse was, in
fact, founded to keep the spirit of the Festivals in August alive

contemporary music and puppetry come together to liven up the dark
days and nights in November.
